Passing on What I've Learned

Word of Advice
I put together a list of 10 lessons I've learned in my 20 years on this planet that I would like to pass onto others to help positively impact their lives...
 1. TIME
Do not waste your time on things that don’t benefit you in any way. Make your time of value and only grant it to those who deserve it.
2. PEOPLE
Unless they impact your life positively & you benefit from surrounding yourself by them; don’t grant them your valuable time.
3. SELF-IMPROVEMENT
Always strive for lifestyle improvements and don’t give up on the goals you set for yourself! Only you can take you where you want to be.
4. LOVE
Try to see yourself for who you really are so that you don’t settle for less than you deserve. You accept the love you think you deserve, so make sure you love & respect yourself!
5. TALENT
Find things you’re good at and practice them to perfection. Who knows you might be able to make money off your talents some day!
6. WORK
Work really hard at your place of employment & gain outstanding work habits. Be the best at what you do and strive for nothing less than perfection.
7. TAKE ACTION
If you say you’re going to do something, do it. Don’t “try” or “want” to do anything, it’s simple: if you say you’re going to do it, prove it. An idea is only a daydream until you starting to plan and take action!
8. HEALTH
Lead a healthy lifestyle, stop smoking, start eating healthy & start getting active and working out. Living better will get you feeling better, feeling better will bring you positive energy, & positive energy will grant you a positive life.
9. LEARN
Always expand your knowledge. There’s always more languages to learn, documentaries to watch, books to read, stories to hear, and places to see...
10. ME
Always put yourself first and look out for your best interest. You can only help those around you if you are doing good yourself. Make the most out of opportunities and don’t let anything or anyone get in the way of your success!

My Career Goals

MY CAREER GOALS
I am a strong believer in strategic planning and setting goals for myself. I always construct a list of short-term, medium-term and long-term goals for myself to meet. Everyone should have goals to execute in order to constantly move forward in life.

Every goal starts with a vision. After constructing a vision for the future, we need to investigate what actions are required, in order for us to bring our vision to life.

The following is a list of short-term, medium-term and long-term career goals I've recently set:

5 Short-Term Goals

  1. Complete this semester with a 4.0 GPA.
  2. Find an internship for the summer.
  3. Get promoted at my current job.
  4. Finish my photography portfolio.
  5. Make a website displaying my modeling and photography portfolios.

5 Medium-Term Goals.

  1. Move out & get my own place downtown Toronto.
  2. Buy a brand new white Jeep Wrangler.
  3. Graduate College & apply for University.
  4. Finish setting up my photography studio & complete purchasing equipment.
  5. Finish my modeling portfolio.

5 Long-Term Career Goals.

  1.  Start my own business.
  2. Make a well-known name for myself in the Business world.
  3. Publish my own book.
  4. Become a public figure
  5. Continue persuing Photography & Modeling
II am hoping to cross everything on my list on time & I'm determined to work hard towards it

Welcome

Welcome to my blog.

Student in the Marketing program at Sheridan College.

Currently enrolled in Digital Marketing 1, MKTG 20261.  As part of my major project, I was asked to run a blog about a topic of my interest.

Here's a little about myself...

My name is Sandra Rizkalla, a 20 yr old 3rd yr Marketing student.

I personally have always had a very high interest in The Business World, Entrepreneurship and Marketing. In a few years I hope to one day own my own Marketing business and run advertisement campaigns for businesses in Canada.

My interest in the field began in my early teens when I was looking for ways to market myself as a model & photographer. I began promoting myself through the internet and social media websites (Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) in order to market myself.

Business skills have always been something that came to me naturally. I love the program I am in, I can't wait to graduate and achieve all the goals I have set for myself. I am eager to become part of the professional business workforce and eventually own my own company.

My passion for business is timeless & I'm positive I've chosen the most suitable field for myself.
